A New Spin on Immersive Audio
16:20 - 16:50 UTC | Tuesday 10th November 2026 | Bristol 2As software developers, we love to tinker with algorithms and designs to find the best solutions for new problems. The best ideas come from many sources, including clients, product managers, and other engineers. To make the most of them, it is valuable to develop complete APIs in finished releases that allow everyone experiment. We can then move quickly to flexible prototypes for validation and iteration of ideas in the field. This talk explores the prototyping and UX/UI design path we followed while implementing L-Acoustics DJ, a system for adding immersive sound to a live, stereo DJ performance.
