    Understanding the audio ecosystem on Linux is not straight-forward. Alsa, who? Pulse-audio, what? And what is this Pipewire everyone keeps talking about? In this presentation, we want to provide a brief overview of the audio subsystem on Linux, looking at libraries provided by the kernel and how to work with it when writing user-space applications. Our goal is to clarify some of the confusion around the different libraries and tools and empower people to embrace the ecosystem instead of being intimidated by it.
